Minor fall in the gambling spend in February 2023

In February 2023, the total gambling spend on betting, online casino, gaming machines and land-based casino amounted to DKK 496 million compared to February 2022. This corresponds a fall of 7.9 percent.
The total fall in February for the four gambling sectors are driven by the decrease in the gambling spend on betting, gaming machines, and land-based casino. The spend on the three gambling sectors decrease by 26.9 percent, 10.7 percent and 4.1 percent, respectively, compared to February 2022.
The fall in the betting sector may be explained by the high reimbursement rate in February 2023 compared to the reimbursement rate in February 2022.
The GGR for online casino rose by 9.3 percent compared to February 2022.
