Match-fixing

Match-fixing in sport is a threat against the integrity of sport both in Denmark and abroad. Match-fixing is independently criminalised in the Act on promoting integrity in sport section 10b.

The Danish Gambling Authority pays particular attention to the prevention of match-fixing, as holders of betting licences in Denmark are important pieces in the detection of such cases and in preventing criminals' attempts at abusing their services for purposes of match-fixing.

The Danish Gambling Authority is responsible for the supervision of match-fixing in betting including ensuring that minors are not exploited.

The Danish Gambling Authority is also a member of "the National Platform", which is a collaborative forum in Denmark that coordinates the joint efforts to combat match-fixing. In addition to the Danish Gambling Authority, the National Platform consists of Anti-Doping Denmark (Secretariat), the Ministry of Culture, the Public Prosecutor, the State Prosecutor for Special Economic Crime (SØIK), Danish Online Gambling Association (DOGA), Danske Licens Spil A/S, Dansk Boldspil-Union (DBU), and the Sports Confederation of Denmark (DIF).
