Providers of charity lotteries have asked the Danish Gambling Authority about the use of certified drawing systems when organising charity lotteries.
According to the act currently in force, the providers are not allowed to operate a draw in the electronic system. Furthermore, only the notary may be responsible for the draw.
A Danish notary must make the draw, however the draw may be made in an electronic system.
The notary alone decides whether an electronic system may be used for the draw. The notary also decides whether he wishes to use an electronic system.
The notary's activities are regulated in the notarial act, which falls under the Ministry of Justice.
