The Danish Gambling Authority has signed a cooperation arrangement with other European gambling authorities

On 27 November 2015, Director of the Danish Gambling Authority, Birgitte Sand, has on behalf of Denmark signed a cooperation agreement with other EEA Member States. 

The cooperation arrangement is an output of the work in the Expert Group on Gambling Services, which is set up by the EU Commission.
The signing of the arrangement pursues cooperation policy with regulatory authorities sharing a common view on gambling regulation.
The arrangement enhance the efficiency of regulation carried out by the authorities in regulatory areas such as:

  • the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing
  • supervision with marketing
  • supervision with match-fixing
  • protection of consumers, minors and prevention of problem gambling

At the same time, the arrangement creates the opportunity for European gambling authorities to share knowledge on technical expertise, the day-to-day supervision and best practice.
