Q1 2022 statistics released

The Danish Gambling Authority has published quarterly statistics for Q1 2022. In the quarterly statistics, you can get a complete overview of the development on the gambling market in the first quarter of 2022. 

A new chapter on StopSpillet - helpline on compulsive gambling has been included in the quarterly statistics. This means that more data is now available such as how old players were, when they experienced their first gambling activity and an overview of the family members and friends who contact StopSpillet for guidance. The new data on StopSpillet are available from 1 January 2019 onwards, when the helpline was established.

Gambling spend increases in Q1 2022 compared to 2021

Data from the Danish Gambling Authority’s quarterly statistics show that the total gross gaming revenue (GGR) for betting, online casino, gaming machines and land-based casino in Q1 2022 amounted to DKK 1,574 million. This is a year-on-year increase of DKK 266 million, equalling 20.3 percent.
