Charity lotteries
In Denmark, lotteries are subject to a monopoly. However, it is possible to run charity lotteries. Lotteries include e.g. bingo, scratch cards, lottery tickets, or tombola. Most charity lotteries require a licence from the Danish Gambling Authority. On lotteriregler.dk you can read more about how to apply for a licence for a lottery.
Lotteries only require a licence from the Danish Gambling Authority if
- Participants make a deposit (money or similar)
- The chance of winning is based on chance, and
- Participants have a chance of winning a prize through the payment

Certificering for almennyttigt lotteri
Bruger I en tilfældighedsgenerator til almennyttigt lotteri, skal den certificeres.
Hvad er en tilfældighedsgenerator, og hvornår skal den certificeres?
En tilfældighedsgenerator kaldes også en RNG (random number generator).
Tilfældighedsgeneratoren er et system eller en software til at trække dine lodder eller numre tilfældigt. Hvis du benytter et system eller software skal det certificeres ved en akkrediteret testvirksomhed. Hvis du derimod selv trækker dine numre, fx ved at trække et nummer i en pose, så skal du ikke have en certificering.
