Gaming machines: Change of practice regarding renewal of licences
As of 1 June 2018, the Danish gambling Authority changes its practice regarding renewals of licences to gaming machines.
The new practice includes that the Danish Gambling Authority from now on will send a letter to the individual licence holder about three months before the licence expires.
If the licence holder wishes to renew the licence, they must submit a new application, which the Danish Gambling Authority will process. The new licence is valid for five years with the exception of restaurant licences that follows the liquor licence.
Previously, licence were automatically renewed when they expired.
The change of practice regarding renewals of licences applies to installation and operation of gaming machines in restaurants and gambling arcades.
