Classroom presentations on responsible gambling
Duration: Approx. 60 minutes
Do you notice that gambling takes up a lot of your students’ attention, even though many are under 18?
More and more young people gamble on online casinos or bet on sports, and many are already familiar with gambling at an early age. We provide an engaging presentation that, among other things, helps young people understand the mechanics of games, giving them a realistic perspective on their gambling habits and chances of winning.
We do this without finger-wagging, through exercises that get students out of their seats and actively involved.
Although the age limit for most forms of gambling is 18, we believe it is important that young people are given concrete tools early on to find a healthy balance with gambling. That’s why we talk to them about how gambling can be kept at a level where it remains a fun activity.
Gambling addiction and compulsive gambling
For some, gambling can develop into a problem and, in the worst cases, lead to gambling addiction. We aim to reach young people before it gets that far, but we also explain how to get help managing gambling problems, for example through our exclusion system ROFUS (Register of Voluntarily Excluded Players) or our helpline StopSpillet, where we provide guidance and advice on responsible gambling.
The presentation is best suited for students in the second or third year of their upper secondary education.
Presentation on skin betting and loot boxes
Duration: By arrangement
Gamers
In our daily work, the Danish Gambling Authority (Spillemyndigheden) experiences an increasing number of inquiries from parents concerned about their children’s use of skin betting and/or loot boxes. Often, parents have limited or no knowledge about skin betting and loot boxes.
The presentation covers the rules and framework for skin betting and loot boxes.
Choose from three types of presentations aimed at three different audiences:
